Women's Strength Training Classes
           Benefits of Strength Training

      
       Improves the ability to perform daily activities,
                 work, and recreational activities.
       Increases bone density, decreasing the risk of 
                 osteoporosis.
       Strengthens the muscles and supports the  
                 joints, which reduces risk of  injury.
        Increases metabolism by adding and 
                 supporting active muscle, assisting in 
                 weight loss. 
        Increases muscular definition. 


 Where:  St. Luke's Episcopalian Church at the corner of Colfax & 46th St. in So. Minneapolis.
  
 
 When:  Monday and Thursday nights from 7:00 to 8:45 pm  
 
 
 What:  We start with a warm-up, run through a complete body workout including core work, 
          followed by  stretching, and ending with relaxation and visualization.
 

 Equipment:  A fitness ball, 3# and 5# hand weights, Xertubes (surgical tubing with handles), a  
         Bender Ball, a ball carrying strap (also used for stretching), and a yoga mat.  Participants bring 
         their own equipment and can be ordered online as well.
 I stock the Xertubes, small balls,and 
         ball carrying straps for your convenience.

 Sessions: 13 weeks, Winter session runs from January 2nd - March 29th, 2012

Cost:
 
13x/session (once a week)   $117         25x/session (twice a week)    $216
