          CHILLED CUCUMBER SOUP
          GRILLED BRAISED TEMPEH
  w/BLUEBERRY ZINFANDEL SAUCE

        SOY-GRILLED GREEN BEANS

2 lbs green beans, trimmed                           
¼ c toasted sesame oil
2 TBS dry sherry or Chinese rice wine       
 2 TBS soy sauce                      
2-3 lg cloves garlic, pressed or minced

Place beans in a shallow dish.  Add oil, sherry, soy sauce, and garlic.  Toss to coat.  Lift beans out of the marinade with tongs.  Grill beans, tossing frequently, until tender and browned, 8-10 minutes.  Serves 8.
